Service Requirements (formerly Service Stipulation):

Participants must work at NHSC-approved sites in federally designated HPSAs of greatest need throughout the United States and its Territories. Upon completion of residency, 3 years of full-time or 6 years of half-time service. For Maternity Award: Commit to providing primary health care services in Maternity Care Target Areas with a shortage score of 16 or above.

Amount of repayment per year of service:

Receive up to $120,000 in loan repayment funds payable in four annual installments (up to $30,000 per year) as long as you meet program requirements; up to $40,000 in loan repayment funding to maternity care health professional participants.
