Physicians; Nurse practitioners; Certified nurse midwives; Physician assistants; Behavioral health professionals; Substance use disorder counselors; Registered nurses; and, Pharmacists

Service Requirements (formerly Service Stipulation):

Three-year commitment to provide substance use disorder treatment services at NHSC-approved sites

Who Can Apply:

US citizen (U.S. born or naturalized) or United States national; A health professional in an eligible discipline with qualified student loan debt for education that led to your degree.

The NHSC Substance Use Disorder Workforce Loan Repayment Program (NHSC SUD Workforce LRP) is open through May 9, 7:30 p.m. ET.

Repayment/Scholarship terms:

Amount of repayment per year of service:

Full-Time Service: Up to $75,000 for a three-year service obligation; Half-Time Service: Up to $37,500 for a three-year service obligation; Spanish Language award enhancement of up to $5,000 for eligible applicants.
