Service Requirements (formerly Service Stipulation):

Participants will enter into consecutive two-year MSLRP service obligations requiring them to remain employed for a minimum of 40 hours per week for no less than 45 weeks per year at eligible nonprofit practice sites providing primary healthcare services to ambulatory populations.

U.S. citizens.


Each November, the MSLRP application period Update will announce the dates of the upcoming annual application period. The dates of application periods change each year, so those interested in applying must read the new Update to make sure they know the correct dates for the coming year.

Repayment/Scholarship terms:

MSLRP providers must provide direct primary care services at an Approved MSLRP Practice Site in order to receive MSLRP payments. MSLRP providers are required to work at least 40 hours per week and provide direct primary patient care for no fewer than 32 hours per week.

Amount of repayment per year of service:

MSLRP will assist those selected by providing up to $200,000 in tax-free funds to repay their educational debt over a period of up to eight years.

First, discuss the 20% contribution requirement with your employer. Then, go to the MSLRP website and complete the application forms.
