Loans are repaid in return for a minimum of two years of full-time practice of the recipient's specialty in a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) in Virginia

This is a competitive program and is based on availability of funds. A limited number of loan repayment participation contracts will be signed with participants in return for primary care medical, mental or dental services in a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA).

Amount of repayment per year of service:
|
The maximum award for a four (4) year commitment is $140,000
|
